A vision insurance policy is not the same as health insurance.
While health insurances help cover the costs from unexpected eye injuries or disease, vision insurance, on the other hand, is a wellness benefit designed to provide routine eye care, prescription eyewear and other vision-related services at a reduced cost. Vision insurance is a benefit that is used every year, while health insurance is more often associated with treating and managing illnesses, diseases, health problems, urgent care, etc.
